Install

Three minutes, any platform

Windows

  1. 1Download Pathforge-Setup.exe and run it.
  2. 2If SmartScreen says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. Pathforge is not code-signed yet.
  3. 3Pick a folder or keep the default. Pathforge opens when it finishes and updates itself from then on.

macOS

  1. 1Open Pathforge.dmg and drag Pathforge into Applications.
  2. 2The first time, Control-click the app and choose Open. macOS asks because the app is not notarized yet. Or use System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway.
  3. 3Automatic updates on macOS need a signed build, which we do not have yet. To update, download the newest version here.

Linux

  1. 1Download Pathforge.AppImage, then make it executable: chmod +x Pathforge.AppImage
  2. 2Run ./Pathforge.AppImage. On Ubuntu 22.04 install FUSE first with sudo apt install libfuse2; on 24.04 the package is libfuse2t64.
  3. 3No FUSE? Take the tar.gz, extract it and run the pathforge file inside. The tar.gz does not update itself; the AppImage does.

Check your download

Every file in the version list shows its SHA-256 checksum. Compute the same value on your machine; if it differs, download the file again.

    • Zen is a building you can go all the way round: drag to orbit, press F to walk, take the stair up to a loft, a lounge and a terrace.
    • A walnut library wall with several hundred books, and a rebuilt phone, prep books and trophy.
    • Ambient motion: wind in the leaves, birds, fireflies and a drifting sun.
    • A slim dot rail replaces the station index, and Zen renders at the screen's native pixel density, so it is no longer soft on scaled displays.
